KYSO Foot Care is a mobile service! In order to reach individuals living in rural areas, KYSO offers clinic appointments and home visits in several rural communities in Central Frontenac, North Frontenac, and Westport & Area.
KYSO is a professional nursing service. I look at your whole health picture and how your lower limbs are affected. I assess and monitor your foot circulation, sensation, nail and skin condition.
If there are significant changes, I will work with your family doctor to assist you in receiving the best care.
I am committed to upholding your health and safety. I adhere to Public Health Ontario Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) guidelines and keep up-to-date with new information. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and sterile, single-use instruments are used at each visit, minimizing your risk of acquiring an infection.
I work with you to develop and individualized care plan to meet your foot health goals.
My goal is to prevent lower limb complications. Early detection is key.
Ask your health insurance provider about foot care nursing.
Early detection and monitoring can reduce risk of lower limb complications.
Removing dead tissue, like callus, reduces bacteria growth and improves skin health. Treating fungal infections in the early stages can prevent it from spreading.
Regular monitoring for changes to sensation can reduce risk of chronic foot problems. Detailed documentation, including photos, at each visit to closely monitor progress.
Corns are often caused by pressure from footwear. An offloading pad can be applied to protect and prevent recurrences.
Can improve toe alignment for bunion and hammer toe. Can reduce plantar fasciitis pain.
